Recipe for a day

This morning I was thinking about what it takes to make a brand new day.  Around the globe we all share the same sun and we all experience sunrise and sunset.  In my normal mind I almost forget that it's not the sun that is moving across the sky each day...it's us on the earth that are moving.  The beauty and freshness of the dawn come from the ground beneath my feet moving rapidly.  Night and day the earth under us is moving at something like 1,000 miles an hour to allow everyone on the planet to experience the sun.  Amazingly, we don't feel this motion.  The Lord has created the earth's surface in such a way that trees, sky, animals, people and earthworms are all moving together.  We don't even feel a breeze.  Wow!

We live in a place that is extremely dynamic and yet full of peace...just like our Lord!

Dert 4:19"And beware not to lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.

blessings,
