light catcher

A different kind of thirst they have,
Silent creatures of the woods.

Through the night they patient wait,
for Heaven's radiant goods.

And as the golden source of light
breaks past horizon's shore,

Spots of light entice the trees
"Not long to wait...there's more"

The rain has come, the roots draw full
The stage is fully set.

For sunlight to come raining down
As leaves with light are wet.

Light catchers, we are made the same.
We wait beneath the Son

For His light shines to wake us too
In the woods of everyone.

Psalm 18:28
You light a lamp for me.
The Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.
