This morning I was moved by the reflection of clouds in the pond. I thought about the beauty of God's creation...so obvious right now as spring is in full bloom...but there are problems in that Creation. Men don't acknowledge their Creator and they invest time, energy and passion on the wrong things. It's almost as if they are aware that He is there but are working hard to avoid looking Him in the eye.
Psalm 4 captures some of this very well:
Verse 2: O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach? How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception?
Yes, there are clouds in the pond...but there is hope as we turn squarely to Him (from verse 6 "Lift up the light of your countenance upon us, O Lord!")
