Subject: forever living now

I thought about time this morning, on the walk on the wooded trail.  We've been reading through the Minor Prophets in our Bible survey at church.  Most of those prophets spoke about the coming Messiah and about His ultimate return at the end of time.  We also saw how the prophecies of prophets like Daniel and Jeremiah came true when the people of Judah were first taken into captivity for 70 years and then set free to return to Jerusalem.

The picture I attach today shows a "blind bend" in the road ahead.  That's how life is for us.  We don't know what is around the next curve in our life road...but we must keep walking that road.  It occurred to me that our God knows what is around that bend.  He is the forever God who has shown that He knows what will happen  in the future.  And, more than that, He has promised that we, who have placed our trust in Him and the work of His Son, will also be with Him forever.
-
Today we travel a road with blind curves.  But He moves with us and He waits for us around every turn and He awaits our arrival when our road on earth ends and we merge into Heaven's highway.

2 Samuel 7:16 And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you.  Your throne shall be established forever.

blessings,
Rob Smith
