Fw: the history ahead

Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. 11 And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
-
The disciples asked Jesus secretly to tell them when the end would come... Jesus tells them many fascinating things about the future that are recorded in Mark, chapter 13.  Awesome times of trials and suffering lie ahead...still ahead even for us.  And we are still living out Mark 13:10 as the gospel is yet being proclaimed in nations around the world.  There are some who, today, are experiencing the reality of verse 11, where believers are brought to trial for their faith.  Pastor Brunson, in Turkey, faced two years of imprisonment for his faith in Christ as well as a trial and was recently freed.  Others have paid with their lives in recent years.
-
But our allegiance is bonded tightly to our living faith.  Those who would threaten the believer with death for a living faith do not realize that they are only threatening with life for eternity.  They are the ones for whom death hangs in the balance.
-
We are the ones with the message of hope...of life...of faith in the true and living God.  The most significant suffering has already been accomplished for us.
-
blessings,
Rob Smith

"Death is inevitable.  Life is a choice!"

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."
