Fw: Love's dimensions

Ephesians 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Every so often we look around our homes and decide that it's time to do some upgrading or renovating.  Enough time may have passed that our kitchens seem too far behind the times in terms of appliances and counter tops.  And our bathrooms may need some dressing up in the showers, sinks and floors as well.  Of course the outside of the house is what the entire world sees constantly and so we are conscious of trimming the hedges and repainting the trim and siding.  But the inside of the house...we may wait until we personally sense a need for change.
-
Perhaps it is something like this with our lives.  The outer person...our appearance and presentation to others is addressed because we are concerned for our impression on others.  But we may have neglected the inner person.  Well, this is where Christ specializes in personal renovation.  And when this decorator/designer comes to do His work we discover dimensions of living that we didn't even know existed (like a transformed kitchen that shines with a totally new beauty and usefulness).
-
When we permit Jesus to work with His Spirit in our inner person He actually moves in, rearranges, removes, reconfigures and remakes us.  And then we have come to experientially know Him and we are filled with God.  He's made the home that He is comfortable to share with us.

"Death is inevitable.  Life is a choice!"

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."
