our reasonable God

Often, folks who seek to criticize followers of God do so with arguments suggesting religion to be akin to superstition.  Believers are thought to have swapped their intellect for irrational traditions and trust in an invisible and distant "Force".  This criticism may be valid for some who have not come to know the living God, but this morning I was struck with the supreme logic and rationality of our Heavenly Father.  Our greatest root problem is an invisible one...we know it as sin.  We needed the help of the invisible God to solve an invisible problem that shows up visibly every day.  We tend to think of ourselves more as natural creatures than as spiritual ones, but our core is spiritual and we need spiritual solutions.  There is no think-tank or breakthrough in scientific research that will unravel sin.  The United Nations Security Council doesn't exist to solve the sin problem...it exists because of the sin problem.  I can think of no more rational decision a person can make than to acknowledge their spiritual reality, their spiritual inadequacy and their need for the only spiritual solution...finding and trusting God, who is spirit and truth.   Isaiah 1:18 " Come now, and let us reason together,"       Says the LORD,       " Though your sins are like scarlet,       They shall be as white as snow;       Though they are red like crimson,       They shall be as wool.   blessings, Rob Smith http://2daysthought.blogspot.com/
