You may think, as you begin this day, that it is bookmarked by a sunrise and a sunset. You may think that the composition of this day is made of world news, commuter routines and work day headaches, and you may feel that the nearest horizon is the next weekend and the next holiday. But there is a gnawing inside that tells you that there is more. It's not just that we live now on earth and one day we'll live in Heaven. It's that Heaven and earth have come together and we live in eternity now. We are creatures of time who have been set free from time's limits. At the moment we opened our hearts and allowed Jesus to enter...we entered life as a stream finds a river which reaches a limitless ocean. We have not escaped the impact of aging but we understand that aging is eternity's plan to extend eternity across generations...and we make peace with growing old...and we are challenged to carry eternity to others who share this time with us.
2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
blessings to my fellow travelers in the ocean of forever,
Rob Smith
John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
