the imperfect place

Imperfect is the place we live,

Where wrong is everywhere,

We do not do the things we should,

and do not seem to care.

There's suffering of many types,

and much that's self-inflicted...

People, nations, tribes and homes,

all can be afflicted.

Why do we think we'll fix this place

when we ourselves are falling?

We need the help of One above...

The Perfect one is calling.

We'll not find perfection here,

while evil roams around,

But we can trust the Living Lord,

Who changes lost to found.

The perfect place is coming and

right will vanquish wrong,

But now we have a taste of this,

You'll find it in His song!

Romans 12:² And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
