beautiful design

Psalm 139:
13 For you formed my inward parts;
    you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
    my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
    intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;

We saw a wonderful video in church yesterday about a medical facility in Egypt.  It is a private hospital that was begun by a small church to provide high quality care by skilled physicians as a service of love.  Most of the people are Muslim who are served, as well as some of the staff.  They mentioned several times during the video that they serve all who need care, regardless of religion or the ability to pay.
-
One reflection on this is to note the truth that whether you are Muslim or Christian you have the same body design.  The surgeon finds the same organs, located in the same places.  Ailments and disease are also common across religion.  We all need physical health in similar ways.  Isn't it wonderful that God has fashioned all of us with so much in common so that physicians can be focused on learning and applying treatments that work for all?  And isn't it wonderful that, at the same time, each of us is absolutely unique, with our own personalities, our own minds, our own personal lives?
-
In Egypt it is against the law to share your faith with a Muslim, unless they ask first.  This hospital creates an environment of selfless love that causes those being cared for to often ask about the Christian faith of those who run the facility.
-
Truly, we have the experience of life in common that we might, in our unique paths and in the course of our unique lives come to realize that there is one God who truly formed each of us, by His design.
-
In the Egyptian hospital it is the unconditional love of the doctors that carries the love of Christ to all, with the passionate hope that others would recognize the touch of the physician to truly be the touch of Jesus.
-
Coming alive through faith is truly the greatest need each of us has!
-
blessings,
Rob Smith

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."
