joy in the valley

On mountain tops the world's below
and majesty is yours.

Above can only sky be seen,
the sun can nowhere hide.

Below, the world much smaller seems
and problems seem to fly.

The valley is a different place
and troubles loom around

The sun is blocked by mountain walls,
The path is hardly found.

It's not a place for comedy, or silliness or power...
The valley is where life's most real

We find an inner tower.

Our weakness is His resting place,
Our trials bring HIs shower.

And joy is found in valley space...
Who'd guess?
Our finest hour!

2 Kings 3:16 and he said, "This is what the Lord says: This dry valley will be filled with pools of water!"

blessings,
Rob Smith
