between the lines

We've met Him on the page of truth,

His Word preserved through time.

The story of His righteous plan,

The King who rules from High.

One story told through Israel,

Extended to us all.

As time rolls on the scroll uncoiled,

Men rise from Adam's fall.

We read all this in Bible books,

The greatest ever penned,

And find ourselves, lost like the rest,

With broken souls to mend.

It's not so much the words we read,

But the greater truth we find...

He waits for us to turn to Him as we

read between the lines.

Psalm 119:¹³⁰ The unfolding of your words gives light; 

   it gives understanding to the simple.
