There is a place that probably saw generations of families rise up each day and rise up through the years to mature and move on. It was always home and held a treasured place in many hearts. It was a landmark for memories and a lighthouse for living and the demands of life were as real and near as the cornfields outside the door. Fire took the house years ago but new life still rises from the fields as the warm seasons still come and the corn is still needed. The large shade tree still stands and some may still remember the heat of August in Virginia and the cool protection of those branches. The house may be gone but the impact of home continues.
Psalm 132:14
"This is my resting place forever," he said."I will live here, for this is the home I desired.
