rain today

Rain comes as I wake up this day

I did not plan this happening

From some distant place the order came

To water all that lives this spring

Not up to me to tend these things

So many trees, flowers, plants and crops

If people chose when it would rain

They'd polarize over "on's" and "off's"

There is One above who looks around

and sends the sun and soaks the ground

We think that we do run the show!

But rain came today...sent by...

Oh, You know!!

"Can you shout to the clouds

   and make it rain?
