This morning I spied two vultures high in a dead tree, overlooking my favorite pond. It struck me that two creatures who live by feeding on dead creatures find their best vantage point to spot meals in a dead tree...providing a clear view by virtue of having no leafy branches like a tower. The Lord provides life from death and finds purpose in every aspect of life's cycle. Death from life...life from death. He is ruler over all.
1 Samuel 2:6
The Lord gives both death and life;he brings some down to the grave but raises others up.
