I think we have the attitude that God is only for some people. The rest of the people are just on their own. They may have rejected Him, chosen other gods, been apathetic about Him or not even heard of Him yet.

This passage reminds me that we all are of the same family...the human family. Our ancestors all trace to the same original father and mother. And our ancestors all came from the eight people who stepped off the Ark when the flood subsided.

We have either acknowledged the reality and claim of God on our lives...or we have not...but whether we have placed our trust in Him or not...That doesn't change (a) the fact of His existence and (b) the reality that He is the source of all of our lives.

God doesn't require our belief to justify His existence...We need to believe in Him to justify ours for eternity.

We are all believers or potential believers. May the goal be for our enemy to become our friend as we are all made one in the family we were created to be.
