We are presented with the idea that there are many...perhaps limitless...value systems, religions, philosophies, cultures. We are aware of the great diversity of the nations and the people groups. There can be the sense that among these many approaches to life and living that there is no difference ultimately between any of them. What you believe and how you practice life may just be a function of where you live, what you read or what you choose to believe. And we celebrate the freedom to follow the direction we choose.
-
All that seems just fine....but....there is one God and there is one way to be restored to Him because there is one universal truth that we have been separated from our Creator and need that restoration.
-
Consider Paul's words from chapter 4, verses 4-6) of Ephesians:
"There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
-
You have one life. May you know and love the one God. In knowing Him we find the greatest of diversities, of beauties and of truth, for the One God has fashioned all of nature. In knowing God we find the widest spectrum of understanding and of knowledge.
-
The one God makes us one with Him and reveals the limitless glory of His nature.
-
much love,
Rob Smith
