Subject: The Lord is near
The apostle Paul finishes the letter to the Philippians with lots of specific recommendations for living. Here is a brief list:

4 Rejoice in the Lord always.

5 Let your gentleness be evident to all.

6 Do not be anxious about anything.....but...
-
in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

8...whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

And here are a few good things to remember:

The Lord is near. (from verse 5)

7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I think my favorite thought from all of this is "The Lord is near." Since He is near...we might say next to and even within us...I am comforted that the walk through life is never alone and never powerless. If I can remember that He is near it helps me remember to follow all the other recommendations.
