Fw: furnished and ready

Mark 14:15 And he will show you a large upper room furnished and ready

It was Passover and the disciples asked Jesus where they should prepare to eat the Passover meal.  Jesus gave them mysterious instructions.  He told them to go into Jerusalem.  A man, carrying a water jug, would walk up to them and they were to follow him to a house.  Once they got to the house they were to ask the Master of the house for a room that they could use to eat the Passover meal together.  The Lord had gone ahead of them to prepare the place.

And the Lord has gone ahead of us, as well.  There is a "large upper room furnished and ready" for His children, who will one day join Him for another feast.  Until then we celebrate Communion to remember that His life was also prepared and then given for us.  And one day we will celebrate with Him: Matthew 26:29 " I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom."

The feast in Heaven is now being prepared in the Upper Room.  I hope you will come to the table.
