Fw: every spiritual blessing

The New Testament letter of Ephesians is bursting with hope...the hope of Heaven.  Here is a quote from early in the first chapter:
-
Ephesians 1:Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love
-
If we reflect a bit on this brief passage we see that Paul is writing to us from Heaven's perspective.  He uses words that we understand a bit but that we don't fully understand.  Even the words "blessed" or "blessing"...I think I have a long way to go in grasping the full meaning of these words.  And that is because they describe the impact of the Father's touch on our lives.  We think of being happy or joyful or hopeful or encouraged but somehow 'blessed' is more than those.  At the point of blessing we are describing the touch of God personally on our lives.  Blessed also means 'holy' when it is used to describe God.  It's as if He takes some of His holiness and reaches down to us, one by one, to touch us in our 'unholiness'.  The last part of this quote seems to confirm that ultimately we will be right before Him...having the wonderful experience of being in His immediate presence, despite our humanness...and it will be a wonderful experience of knowing He loves us and that He has always planned, from before the world was formed, that we would have that direct, immediate, loving and personal knowledge and relationship with our Heavenly Father.
-
In this blessing there is full satisfaction and utter fulfillment.
-
May you experience His blessing!
