In our day-to-day life we take notice of increases in the cost of everyday needs. Gasoline gets a lot of attention as it moves up and down in price and impacts our car driving and buying habits. We have coined the phrase "cost of living" to quantify these routine expenses and quite a bit of concern and media attention goes to worries about inflation and how it can compromise our quality of life. As believers, it is healthy to remind ourselves of the real "cost of living".
There are many beautiful verses that describe this high price. Colossians 1:22 is one: "But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— "
Yes, the cost of living is high. But fortunately it isn't subject to inflation and the Lord made sure it was within reach for every person.
