We have enjoyed a gorgeous full moon this week...set against a velvet backdrop sky. Shirley and I spied the moon through our telescope and I actually think that the moon is prettier without the benefit of magnification, which reveals the pits and craters. From a distance it still is a very large, illuminating presence. God hung it there to mark months and seasons for our benefit and its beauty and reflected light remind us of the source of all light and the maker of all creation.
Psalm 8:3-5
When I consider Your heavens, the work of your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained;
What is man that You take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?
Yet You have made him a little lower than God,
And You crown him with glory and majesty!
blessings,
Rob Smith
