I spied the pictured eagle this morning and looked up a few facts:
- There are about 20,000 bald eagles in the U.S.
- They have about 7,000 feathers each.
- They can live up to 30 years in the wild.
- They mate for life.
- They can fly up to 5 miles high and at speeds up to 35 mph.
- They have a wingspan of about 7 feet.
Deuteronomy 32:11
Like an eagle that rouses her chicksand hovers over her young,
so he spread his wings to take them up
and carried them safely on his pinions.
