1 Corinthians
15 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time
Our faith is not dependent on physical evidence but on the fact of the risen Christ. But physical evidence affirms our faith. The Garden Tomb is the likely place where Jesus was buried. Inside that tomb you can see where Jesus' body was placed. They actually had to chisel out more room for His feet because He was taller than the one who had been planned to be buried there. It appears that the tomb was never used again after Jesus was raised.

There is a track for a 13 foot circular stone in front of the door to the tomb. And there is an iron spike that was sheared off, flush with the stone wall of the tomb. This spike, or pin, was about two fingers in diameter and would have taken about 60-80 tons of force to break it. This is consistent with a Roman seal used to anchor the stone and with the result of the Angel rolling the stone open and breaking the seal. The iron spike has been tested and is consistent with Roman spikes made of iron and lead from that period.

The tomb is empty that our lives might be filled!
