Leadership

Leadership first charts the path

then walks to set the pace.

-

It demonstrates the attitudes

and shows the way of grace.

-

It places others always first,

makes sure their needs are covered.

-

It wants God's will for all to know,

teaching truth to brothers.

-

Leaders serve us from beneath,

Don't push or pull unkindly,

-

Their goal for all... the Savior's face

and Father's love to find them.

-

Leaders run, not far ahead,

but so their flock can see

The course of life, though long and rough

Together we complete.

-

Leaders first must followers be,

of Christ and His true way;

-

His Holy leadership the goal,

our compass for each day.
