trading work for worship

Each day we tend to struggle,
That seems to be our way-
Life often seems a jumble
where problems have their say.
-
We think it's all about our work;
The effort that we bring,
And cent'ring on ourselves we strain
for meaning as we slave.
-
But, look around, spring's bursting forth!
How little did you add?
The Lord's in Heav'n, still touching Earth
Why can't this make you glad?
-
Exchanging work for worship
Now there's a welcome plea
Seeing God in what He's made
(including you and me)
-
Set striving, fears and selfish things
high upon a shelf-and
skip like children through a field
forgetting Mr. Self.
-
You are His Creation too,
fashioned by that Hand-
Built for joy and thankfulness,
with love to tend the land
-
So trade your work for worship
and see your burdens lift
Look around and then look up...and
Make your heart His gift.
-
-
Psalm 47:1 "Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy."
-
blessings all,
Rob Smith

"Death is inevitable.  Life is a choice!"

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."
