stayed on thee

Isaiah 26:³Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Peace, it's peace I long for...

and daily it evades,

my troubled mind...

my fragile heart.

My outward face does not reveal...

the wars and fears inside.

The choppy water of this life

Be still....BE STILL...I cry!

 

Too much I try to run my world,

too long I've carried weights...

I never was designed to hold,

or yet to know my fate.

But peace is near...I truly know,

The challenge now I see...

Not to live within my mind but...

Keep it stayed on Thee!
