An old tree makes a powerful statement. Its size speaks of life that goes back, perhaps centuries. Its height dwarfs all other living creatures and humbles. Its vitality confirms the reliability of light, water and soil to sustain existence. Its branches provide homes for other living things, shade from summer heat, and leaves that anticipate and mark each season. And we find our home in the Tree of Life, whose roots are in Heaven, whose branches are on Earth, and whose light and rain come from the Master Gardener.
Revelation 22:2 "On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations."
