water

Water...is there a more common substance?  Is there a more necessary substance?  And is there a more beautiful substance?  In rain, in oceans, in wells and in our bodies water is essential.  It can also be powerful in waves, floods and hail.  And like other essentials, we can take it for granted.  The Lord is something like water.  He is everywhere and exists in more than one form.  He is outside of us and He can dwell within us.  And He is powerful.  Sometimes we think that we are the central figure but we are not.  

Here are a few verses from Psalm 9 that spoke to me this morning:

Psalm 9:10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

verse 20 Put them in fear, O Lord;  Let the nations know that they are but men.
