Fw: the every day solution

Philippians 4:6 "do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
-
The familiar passage above resonates because of the familiar problem of worry.  How many days have we experienced since childhood without any worry or anxiety about anything?  Not many.  The uncertainty of each day, the challenges of work, the concerns for success, the cares associated with family, children, friends in crisis.  But just as worry is almost an "everyday" phenomenon we have a prescription for every concern.  We're directed not to "be anxious about anything".  When anxiety starts bubbling deep within, as children of God, we ought to ventilate those cares to God as requests for guidance, answers and relief.
-
This prescription for peace promises God will provide His absolute calm...the kind of peace that quiets the turmoil in a supernatural way...past comprehension.  He replaces turmoil with tranquility.
-
And, not stopping there, he places a wonderful guard over your hearts and minds for protection.  The guard is the one who escaped the tomb to rescue and protect you.  The Guard is Jesus!
-
In this way what begins as worry is transformed into worship!
-
blessings!
