Fw: lifespan

Psalm 103:
17 But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,
and his righteousness to children's children,
18 to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments.
-
For the most part we focus on our personal lifespans...how to maximize our own lives between the boundaries of birth and death.  We are reminded that God has no such limits.  He is from generation to generation the God who is king of the everlasting domain.  For us, our lives are measured in hours and days and years...in stages such as childhood, education, career, marriage and child rearing, retirement and battling old age.
-
But God patiently waits for us to discover the focus that makes Him the center.  He is pouring out love that started with a personal plan for your life and has continued with faithful provision and care...and carrying through the deep waters of difficulty.  He's waiting to see if you've learned to put your hope in the one who was there before you arrived and will be there after the final chapter of your earthly journey.
-
He promises that, if we will return his love and live in obedience to him, our lives will also live on generation to generation as children and grandchildren also come to him in faith.
-
Perhaps you, yourselves, are the beneficiary of the obedience of parent or grandparent!
-
blessings,
Rob Smith

"Death is inevitable.  Life is a choice!"

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."
