securely held

Romans 8:38-39
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
-
John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
-
For an infant, or small child, there is perhaps no greater security than to be held by mother or father.  Held close...held tight...assured that no harm will come and all that is needed is promised through that loving closeness.  We, who have trusted in Christ, and have become adopted children into His family are held in just the same way.  The Father has gone to great lengths both to find and to save us...for an eternal relationship that has its inception on earth and its culmination in heaven.  And the great trials and challenges of this life may cause us to either come to the end of ourselves or to harden our hearts to His extended love.
-
But once we have renounced self and been born anew we come to experience the strong arms of our Lord.  They hold us in our tears, clap with us in our joy, guide our steps through uncertain places and continue to shape our hearts in new and tender ways.
-
And nothing...no nothing...will ever separate us again from His love!
-
blessings,

"Death is inevitable.  Life is a choice!"

John 11:25
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live."
